Pensacola Med Spa Ozempic

Adults with obesity assigned the GLP-1 receptor agonist semaglutide experienced substantial weight loss compared with placebo, with more than half of participants losing 15% of body weight, according to data from the STEP 1 study.
“Semaglutide [Ozempic, Novo Nordisk] is the most impactful medication for the treatment of obesity, with 32% of participants losing at least 20% of their initial weight,” Robert Kushner, MD, professor of medicine and medical education at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, Chicago, told Healio. “It could be a game changer for those who struggle with obesity, which affects over 40% of American adults.”

What are MIC B12 Injections?

Methionine inositol choline (MIC) B12 injections contain a blend of nutrients that help your body release fatty deposits. For example, inositol stimulates fat removal by your liver, while choline prevents cholesterol buildup and deposits. Methionine, an essential amino acid, helps inositol and choline work even more efficiently.
MIC injections also contain vitamin B12, which can further stimulate your metabolism and give you a boost of energy, especially if you don’t get enough B12 each day. When methionine, inositol, choline, and B12 are combined into one injection, you have a higher chance of getting rid of excess fatty deposits throughout your body.

How Much Weight Can I Lose with MIC B12 Injections?

On average, you should expect gradual weight loss of about one to two pounds per week while following your physician-supervised medical weight loss plan at Sandy Key Medical. Because MIC B12 injections can rev up your metabolism and minimize fatty deposits, you might be able to lose as much as two to four pounds each week.

How Often Do I Need MIC B12 Injections?

Your physician-supervised medical weight loss plan is entirely tailored to you, so your MIC B12 frequency may vary. Typically though, it’s common to come into Sandy Key Medical once a week for MIC B12 injections to achieve optimal weight loss results.
Most men and women who get MIC B12 injections love the boost in energy they experience. You’re probably going to want to come in for routine MIC B12 injections at least once a month, even long after you’ve reached your weight loss goals, to improve your energy levels and help you maintain your weight.
Once you’ve started your weight loss journey at Sandy Key Medical, scheduling your MIC B12 visits is quick and easy. The team can usually have you in and out of your MIC B12 appointment in about 10 minutes, so you can get right back to your daily routine.

Semaglutide is a GLP-1 medication (Glucagon like peptide 1 agonist)

The drugs in this class of medication mimic the action of a hormone called glucagon like peptide 1. After
someone eats and the blood sugar starts to rise, these drugs stimulate the body to produce more
insulin, extra insulin lowers the blood sugar levels which is helpful in treating Type 2 DM. It is unclear
how the GLP-1 drugs lead to weight loss.

Semaglutide helps to curb hunger, slows movement of food from the stomach to small intestine so you
feel full faster and eat less. Studies have shown that people can lose 10-15% of weight with diet and
exercise with the average weight loss of 10.5-15.8 pounds with no lifestyle changes and up to 33.7
pounds with lifestyle changes.

These meds may also help lower risk of heart disease such as heart failure, stroke and kidney disease.
Side effects may include nausea, vomiting, constipation or diarrhea. Hypoglycemia can also be a side
effect but seems to be increased risk when taking other meds that may lower your blood sugar.
Contraindications to taking Semaglutide are Type 1 DM, medullary thyroid cancer, diabetic retinopathy,
disease of the gallbladder, history of pancreatitis, decreased kidney function, multiple endocrine
neoplasia type II and family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma.
