Krystal Overly
APRN/Owner of Sandy Key Med Spa
Krystal was born and raised in Alabama. Although a country girl at heart, she has lived in the Perdido area since 1999 and specifically Perdido Key since 2015. Krystal graduated from UAB in 1995 with a degree as a Fitness Specialist. When she couldn’t find a job in that field, Krystal immediately enrolled in nursing school, obtaining her ADN from Jefferson Davis Community College in 1997 and her BSN from the University of South Alabama in 1998. After working as a Registered Nurse for a few years, Krystal knew it was time to pursue her dream of becoming a Nurse Practitioner. In 2004, she graduated from the University of South Alabama with an MSN. Growing up, Krystal always dreamed of having a career in medicine, with a heart to heal people.
Most of Krystal’s career was spent in long-term care and skilled rehab, with some remote experience in urgent care and ER settings. In 2019, she felt it was time for something different. By 2020, she had begun obtaining certifications in aesthetics, starting with neurotoxins and dermal fillers. During one of those training sessions, Krystal learned about Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement Therapy, which immediately piqued her interest. She then pursued additional training, beginning at Buckeye Regenerative Medicine in Columbus, OH, and continuing through Empire Medical Training and Elite NP courses. With her background as a Fitness Specialist and a passion for health and fitness, adding weight loss services to her offerings seemed like a natural fit.
Krystal has faced struggles with weight, body image, self-esteem, and self-worth throughout her life due to various childhood and life experiences. Having undergone many of the procedures and services she now offers, her confidence and self-esteem have drastically improved. This personal journey has fueled Krystal’s deep passion for helping others who may seek the same level of confidence. She is dedicated to assisting others to not only look their best but also feel their best from the inside out. Krystal strives to connect on a deeper level with everyone who walks through the door, building trust and ensuring that each patient feels empowered when they leave her care.
Krystal is married to Chad Overly, a retired Navy Chief who has been in and out of the area since it was his first duty station in the early 90s. Since his retirement in 2015, The area has also become his forever home. Together, they have two daughters and two German Shepherds. If you sit in Krystal’s chair, you’ll likely hear all about Lilo and Ruger and probably see a few pictures too. While Krystal loves all animals, she has a special place in her heart for German Shepherds, having had four since first adopting Hank, who now lives with her daughter, in 2017. Krystal proudly supports local dog rescues, including the Joy Committee and Save Underdogs.
Lacy McKinley
APRN
Lacy is a Navy brat, but Pensacola has been where she has lived the longest, so she considers it home. She has 2 dogs. Bella, her sassy Goldendoodle, and Jax, a terrier mix who was a foster fail, who keeps her on her toes. She loves spending lazy days around the house when she can snuggling her pups.
Lacy understands how much of an impact aesthetics can make in a persons life, as she has struggled with body image issues herself. She fell in love with aesthetics after having several treatments done after going through significant weight loss. She strives to provide excellent patient-centered care and to empower women (and men) to be their best selves.
She graduated in 2003 from Jones County Junior College in Ellisville, MS, with an associates degree in nursing. She spent 12 years as a bedside RN in the Emergency Department as a staff nurse and also a travel nurse. She traveled to TN, LA, and CA working in various Level 1 and Level 2 trauma centers. She obtained her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) from the University of West Florida in 2012, then completed her Master’s of Science in Nursing (MSN)-Family Nurse Practitioner degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2015. She has worked in Urgent Care, Endocrinology, and the Emergency Department as an APRN. Lacy completed her Doctorate of Nursing (DNP) from Samford University in 2025 with a secondary Emergency Nurse Practitioner (ENP) certification and a nurse educator (CNE) certification.
She has had extensive training in Botox injections and fillers from The Injector Coach Institute in Pensacola, FL. She feels comfortable with hormone replacement therapy and weight loss management due to her experience in Endocrinology, and is always actively taking additional classes to better understand and serve her patients so that she can integrate her knowledge seamless into aesthetics practice.
She focuses on listening to her patients, understanding their needs, and offering attainable treatments to help them reach their goals.
